Mayor to Host Town Hall in Corona on Wednesday

QUEENS — Mayor Bill de Blasio is headed to Corona to host a town hall Wednesday, officials said.

The mayor will host the meeting along with Councilwoman Julissa Ferreras-Copeland and Borough President Melinda Katz at I.S. 61, at 98-50 50th Ave. Doors open at 6:30, and close at 7:30 p.m.

De Blasio will answer questions from the public on any issues or concerns in Corona and throughout the city, organizers said.

The events is co-sponsored by Dominico-American Society of Queens, Elmcor Youth & Adult Activities, HANAC-Corona Beacon, Plaza del Sol Family Health Center, Make the Road New York and the Queens Museum.

Space inside the town hall is limited, with just a few seats left, officials said. Those interested in attending are encouraged to RSVP for the event by emailing TownHallRSVP@cityhall.nyc.gov or calling 212-788-4282.
