JACKSON HEIGHTS — Two men were seriously injured when they were struck by a 7 train in Queens after one of them took a drunken spill onto the tracks and the other jumped to his aid in a failed rescue bid, police sources said.

The men, ages 37 and 41, were hit by a Manhattan-bound train at the 82nd Street-Jackson Heights stop Monday around 9:40 p.m., the NYPD said.

The boozed-up 37-year-old fell onto the tracks before his friend hopped down to try to pull him back up, sources said.

But the subway hit them before they could make it onto the platform, police said.

The 37-year-old was taken to Elmhurst Hospital in critical condition but was expected to survive. The other man suffered a broken leg, the NYPD said.
