By Aidan Gardiner | February 28, 2017 8:18am

QUEENS — A man suffered life-threatening injuries when he walked into Elmhurst traffic and was hit by an MTA bus Monday night, police said.

The 46-year-old man, who sources say may have been intoxicated, was trying to cross north over Roosevelt Avenue just before 9 p.m. when the bus hit him just east of 78th Street, NYPD officials said.

He was taken to Elmhurst hospital, where he's listed in critical condition, police said.

The bus driver remained on the scene and there weren't any immediate arrests, police said.

It wasn't immediately clear what line the bus had been traveling on.
