KIPS BAY — A drone crashed through the window of a woman’s 27th-floor apartment at Waterside Plaza, landing just feet from where she was sitting, police said.

The remote-controlled whirlybird tore through the 66-year-old woman’s window inside 20 Waterside Plaza, near East 26th Street, and landed about 4 feet from her Saturday about 5:50 p.m., the NYPD said. She wasn’t hurt.

Police were trying to determine who owns the drone and where it took off from, authorities said.

Flying drones in the city is illegal except in select parks.
