Dog Walker's Fatal Fall May Have Been Caused by Pooches, NYPD Says

By Aidan Gardiner | February 24, 2017 8:44am

BROOKLYN — A dog walker who fatally fell down a flight of stairs Thursday afternoon may have been overpowered by the two pooches he'd just picked up from an apartment, NYPD officials said.

The 53-year-old dog walker, whose name wasn't immediately released, had just picked up the dogs from 15 Carroll St., near Van Brunt Street, about 5:22 p.m. when they overwhelmed him and sent him tumbling down the building's stairs, police said.

The walker was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Police said the dogs' owner was there and reclaimed the animals, a pitbull and a mixed breed.
