MIDTOWN EAST — For $900 per month, you can work out like Gwyneth Paltrow and eat like her too.
Paltrow this week announced plans to open a new location of her 3 Green Hearts cafe at 241 E. 59th St. between Second and Third avenues — alongside a new flagship exercise studio from Paltrow pal Tracy Anderson set to open its doors next month, according to a spokesman for Anderson.
The cafe, whose cookies Eater once described as being “made of air and the tears of disappointed children” due to the absence of dairy, soy, nuts, and gluten, is a partnership between Paltrow, Anderson and Maria Baum, the CEO at Tracey Anderson's company.
It will serve coffee, smoothies, and prepared meals alongside Tracey Anderson-branded merchandise in a street-level space next to the studio, which is taking the place of a former movie theater, according to spokesman Steven Beltrani.
The studio will specialize in Anderson’s trademarked “Tracy Anderson Method,” which promises to help women develop “feminine muscles” and cautions that “no woman should lift more than three pounds.”
A limited number of memberships are currently available at the new studio for $900 per month, which covers unlimited classes, custom programming, and discounts on merchandise at the cafe, according to a press release.
While the studio is open only to members, the cafe will be open to the public.
Following the opening of the studio and cafe, Anderson will debut a new meal delivery service, bringing prepared food to acolytes in New York City.
Correction: An earlier version of this article misstated Maria Baum's title.
