Get ready to toast to the brief warm weather with a frothy craft beer.
New York City Beer Week, an eight-day celebration of the city's best suds, kicks off Feb. 24 — when the temperatures are set to reach the mid-60s.
The five-borough festival officially commences with an opening bash at the Brooklyn Expo Center on Saturday, Feb. 25. A $55 general admission ticket gets you unlimited booze samples from 50 breweries, as well as sweet and savory bites from vendors like Bronx Hot Sauce and A Cake Baked in Brooklyn.
The event lineup — which runs through March 5 — features tastings, tours, home-brewing workshops, pairing menus, and the first-ever NYC Fermentation Festival, a family-friendly fair dedicated to all kinds of fermented foods and beverages, from sauerkraut to kombucha.
You can learn to brew your own beer at this bootcamp session in Nolita, sing some classic Swedish tunes for your brewskis at the Brooklyn Brewery, sip your suds between yoga poses in Glendale, Queens, or meet your soulmate over a pint glass at the Bronx Beer Hall this week.
