CHINATOWN — Weeks after the unveiling of a new, larger Xi'an Famous Foods just steps away from the flagship Bayard Street location, proprietors of the famed noodle joint have transformed their former smaller outpost into a dumpling eatery.

Dumpling Spot is now in soft-opening mode at 67 Bayard St., according to Xi'an Famous Foods chief executive Jason Wang, with a grand opening slated for Feb. 25.

The new spot is serving up hot deals on dumplings in flavors such as pork and cabbage, vegetable, chicken and chives, and "Three Treasures" — a dumpling stuffed with pork, shrimp and chives.

Diners can grab 12 of a variety of dumplings for $13 with the "Feast of Dumplings" deal, or can order 10 of any flavor for prices ranging from $9 to $10.

The eatery also serves fried pot-stickers, stewed beef, and chicken drumsticks, according to its menu.

While the smaller eatery had for years been the sole Chinatown home base of noodle chain Xi'an Famous Foods since it moved from its original outpost in 2011, the neighborhood operation has moved to the more spacious location roughly a block away at 45 Bayard St.

That new location opened its doors Feb. 1 to accommodate the large crowds that flock to the popular eatery, with 60 seats instead of the smaller spot's 35.

The rapidly growing chain has a total 13 New York City locations including Dumpling Spot and offshoot Biang! in the East Village, with 10 restaurants in Manhattan, 2 in Queens, and one Brooklyn location in Greenpoint.
