CLAREMONT — A Bronx burglar hurled a rock through the glass door of a Citibank but left empty handed, police said.

The suspect used a stone to break into the bank branch at 1463 Southern Blvd. on Thursday around 7:40 p.m., but once the alarms went off, he left without taking anything, according to the NYPD.

He fled in a black Chrysler 300 sedan driving south on Southern Boulevard, they added.

Officers described the suspect as a man between 25 and 35 years old who wears glasses and was last seen wearing a black knitted hat, a dark shirt, dark pants and a dark jacket.
