These coffee shops are waking up to activism.

Dozens of cafes across the city have joined on for a nationwide coffee fundraiser for the American Civil Liberties Union.

A host of coffee spots including Cafe Grumpy, Joe Coffee and La Colombe will hand over 5 percent of weekend proceeds to the ACLU, which is currently fighting the Trump administration in court over its refugee and immigration ban.

Online coffee culture website Sprudge.com organized the fundraiser, which runs from Friday through Sunday. The site said it's never been political, but it felt moved to action.

"We believe that the current executive order banning refugees from the United States and immigration from 7 majority Muslim nations is illegal, immoral, and fundamentally un-American," Sprudge says on its website.

"Like a hot mug of drip coffee spilled on a crisp white apron, these actions are a dark stain on our national conscience, and as Americans we feel compelled to stand up against them."

Manhattan's Everyman Espresso, which has locations in the East Village and SoHo, was the first coffee company in the country  to join the fundraiser.

"The current executive order banning refugees from around the world and immigrants from seven Muslim majority countries is illegal, immoral and un-American," said Everyman Espresso co-owner Sam Penix in a statement.

"I'd like to believe that the efforts mobilizing a crew of coffee brewers...will inspire others to do what they can to support community and resist fascism."
