What if the Academy Award-nominated romantic musical "La La Land" were filmed in New York, not Los Angeles?

A parody video of the movie that waltzed away with 14 Oscar nominations Tuesday morning, including one for best picture and another for best original screenplay, re-imagines Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling's characters' encounter in a piano bar as happening in a New York City subway station.

The video written and directed by New York City-based comedian Tyler Fischer stars Fischer as the jazz pianist Sebastian and actress Julienne Jones as the aspiring thespian Mia. 

Mia approaches Sebastian, a piano-playing busker, on the platform of the Metropolitan Avenue station on the G line with the intention of asking him out for a coffee — only to be interrupted by a train zooming past, a man begging for change and social media followers, a woman drunkenly stumbling between them, and other obstacles to love in the big city.
