CONCOURSE — Police have released a photo of the man suspected of shoving a 43-year-old onto the subway tracks, causing him to lose his left leg below the knee.
The victim was fighting with the roughly 25-year-old suspect on the northbound platform of the 170th Street station by Grand Concourse in The Bronx on Wednesday morning, when the suspect pushed him onto the tracks as a B train pulled into the station, police said.
He was hit by the train, and his left leg was partially severed and later amputated below the knee, but he is now in stable condition, according to the NYPD.
Officers said the suspect was last seen wearing a green jacket, a green skullcap, and white and black Adidas sneakers.
