BROOKLYN — A parked NYPD patrol car carrying two officers was fired on — possibly by someone with a BB gun — shattering the passenger-side window, police said.
The officers stopped outside the Linden Houses at 215 Wortman Ave., near Vermont Street in East New York, about 12:30 a.m. when something shattered their window, police said.
Police said someone may have shot at them with a BB gun or struck their window with a another object.
Their windshield was also damaged, police said.
There hadn't been any arrests as of Tuesday morning, police said.
Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
