QUEENS — The LIRR Port Washington line was suspended after a person was struck by a train east of the Woodside Station, according to the MTA.

The person was critically injured after being hit at about 6:14 p.m., an FDNY spokesman said. The victim was transported to Elmhurst Hospital at about 6:44 p.m.

Service was suspended in both directions following the incident and the MTA was cross-honoring fares on the 7 line between Times Square and Flushing.

LIRR service was also disrupted out of the Atlantic Terminal Thursday night because of a broken rail.

Riders can check the MTA website for updates.
