INWOOD — A 13-building stretch of apartments and stores that was put up for sale last summer has been bought for $63.6 million, according to officials involved in the sale  — but reps declined to release the exact addresses of the properties or who purchased them.

Eastern Consolidated, the Manhattan-based commercial real estate firm handling the sale, wrote in a press release that the properties are located along Sherman Avenue, Post Avenue, Academy Street and Vermilyea Avenue and that they include two retail stores and 359 residential apartments — 93 one-bedrooms, 210 two-bedrooms and 51 three-bedrooms. They also said there are 5 "super units" but declined to say what sizes those were.

The firm touted Inwood as a place that "young professionals have discovered" and said the surge of new residents "moving into the large apartments in the neighborhood’s residential buildings" made it "more desirable" to potential buyers.

Eastern Consolidated didn’t reply to a request for comment on who purchased the property, or the date of sale or who the former owners were.

But based on their streets, the newly-purchased properties fall within the "study area" currently under consideration for rezoning by the city's Economic Development Corporation as part of Mayor Bill de Blasio's Inwood NYC Neighborhood Study.

Inwood was the site of a massive showdown between some locals and the city over a rezoning plan for  Sherman Plaza at 4650 Broadway that was to be the first in Mayor Bill de Blasio’s Mandatory Inclusionary Housing plan last year.

That building — which overlooks Fort Tryon Park — was slated to get permission to add additional stories in exchange for more affordable housing. But after pushback from the community, City Councilman Ydanis Rodriguez withdrew his support for the rezoning and the plan was scrapped.

The city's EDC and Rodriguez did not immediately respond to calls for comment about the property sale.
