FLATBUSH — An intoxicated man died after falling down a set of stairs just minutes after the start of the new year, the NYPD said.
Police responded to a 911 call and found the 48-year-old in the lobby of a four-story apartment building on Glenwood Road and Ocean Avenue at 12:28 a.m., officials said.
The man, who police believe was intoxicated when he fell, suffered a head wound and was unconscious and unresponsive when authorities arrived, police said.
His identity was not immediately released.
