PRINCE'S BAY — A man was injured after he was struck by a Staten Island Railway train Thursday morning, officials said.

The man was seen on the tracks at the Prince's Bay station at about 11:45 a.m. then jumped back onto the platform as the train came into the stop, a spokeswoman for the MTA said.

He was hit by the train and taken to Staten Island University Hospital North with head injuries, according to the MTA and FDNY. The injuries weren't considered life-threatening, officials said.

It was unclear why the man was on the tracks.

The incident caused delays to two SIR trains and full service was resumed at 12:39 p.m., the MTA said.
