By  Aidan Gardiner and Katie Honan | December 29, 2016 8:52am

QUEENS — Two men crashed as they tried to flee a gunman who shot them in their car in Elmhurst early Thursday morning, NYPD officials said.

The two men, 22 and 23, got into an argument with another man as they sat in a car near Roosevelt Avenue and 79th Street about 4:17 a.m., police said.

The other man, who was on foot, then pulled a gun and shot the 22-year-old in the left knee and the 23-year-old in the left foot, an NYPD spokesman said.

The driver hit the gas, but then slammed into a parked car, police said.

The suspect meanwhile fled the scene and wasn't immediately arrested, police said.

The two victims were treated at Elmhurst Hospital for injuries that weren't considered life threatening, police said.
