JACKSON HEIGHTS — A 25-year-old man was slashed in the face after getting into an argument outside a Northern Boulevard Kentucky Fried Chicken, police said.

The victim was standing outside the restaurant at 87-15 Northern Blvd. at around 9:05 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10 with his girlfriend and mom, police said.

All three then got into an argument with two men they didn't know.

The verbal fight began when one of the men asked them, "Do you have a problem?" and it escalated, police said.

One of the men then slashed the victim with an unidentified object and fled, according to the NYPD.

The victim was taken to Elmhurst Hospital in serious but stable condition.

The suspect, who is between 20 and 25 years old, 6-feet 2-inches tall with cornrows and shoulder-length braids, was last seen wearing a dark-colored hooded sweater, a light-colored knit cap, light blue jeans and dark-colored sneakers.

Surveillance video captured him inside the KFC either before or after the slashing.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline, 1-800-577-TIPS or 1-888-57-PISTA for Spanish.
