BROOKLYN — Police believe a woman may have been behind the wheel of the car that fatally struck well-known Spanish music DJ Jinx Paul in East New York early Monday.
Investigators are continuing to search for additional surveillance footage of the vehicle that struck the famed DJ — whose real name was Jean Paul Guerrero — as he crossed Jamaica and Sheffield avenues about 4 a.m.
A woman was seen hopping out of the car that fatally struck Guerrero, a father of a 7-year-old boy, police officials said at an unrelated press conference Wednesday.
“We have it identified as possibly a dark vehicle, four-door, possibly with damage to the windshield itself,” NYPD Chief of Transportation Thomas Chan said of the vehicle.
The driver was last seen on Fulton Street near Eastern Parkway, officials said.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
