Man Killed in East New York Hit-and-Run, NYPD Says

BROOKLYN — A man crossing an East New York street was hit and killed by a car which then left the scene Monday morning, NYPD officials said.

The 39-year-old man, whose name wasn't immediately released, was crossing at Sheffield and Jamaica avenues minutes after 4 a.m. when a black four-door sedan hit him, police said.

The man was pronounced dead at Brookdale Hospital, said police, who have released surveillance video of the car.
