MORRISANIA — A South Bronx library branch that closed more than two years ago for a $10 million renovation is now set to reopen in late March.

The Woodstock branch of the New York Public Library, located at 761 E. 160th St., closed in late August of 2014 for a massive overhaul, with changes including an expanded children's center, a new space with lounge seating for young adults, 18 computer stations for children and more restrooms.

The library, which is more than 100 years old and first opened in 1914, was initially slated to reopen by the end of 2016, but work delays have since pushed its expected reopening back to late March 2017, according to the NYPL.

In the meantime, Bronxites can visit nearby library branches in Hunts Point at 877 Southern Blvd., Melrose at 910 Morris. Ave and Morrisania at 610 E. 169th St., all of which are roughly one mile away.
