Sigur Ros Will Play Forest Hills Stadium Next Summer

Sigur Rós, an Icelandic experimental rock band known for their ethereal sound, will perform at the Forest Hills Stadium next summer, joining the upcoming season's lineup, organizers said Monday.

The band, which hails from Reykjavík, will perform at the recently renovated stadium on Saturday, June 17, as part of their 2017 North American tour.

The group, which will be touring without a support act, will performing two sets separated by an intermission, the organizers said.

The concert will be "largely comprised of theater shows," and will feature live visuals, the group said on its website.

Tickets for the show, which is scheduled to start at 7 p.m., will range from $29.50 to $99.50. They will go on sale on Fri., Dec. 16, at 10 a.m. and will be available for purchase here.

Concert organizers announced Friday that Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers will play twice — on July 26 and 27 — at the popular concert venue next summer as part of their 40th Anniversary Tour.
