TOTTENVILLE — A man was arrested for possession of child pornography in Staten Island, prosecutors said.

Paul Whyte, 32, of Tottenville, was arrested after police found he had ten files of pornography with children under the age of 15 on his computer, authorities said.

He admitted he had the images and said he shared them with others at least twice since last year, according to his criminal complaint.

Whyte was charged with 10 counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child and two counts of promoting a sexual performance by a child at his arraignment, the Staten Island District Attorney's office said.

His bail was set at $2,500 and he's due back in court on Jan. 25, according to online court records.

His lawyer could not be reached for comment.
