PROSPECT-LEFFERTS GARDENS — A man climbed through the window into a woman's apartment and raped her at knifepoint, prosecutors said.

Peter Faustin, 23, was charged Monday with rape, burglary, menacing, criminal possession of a weapon and harassment for the Dec. 2 assault, court documents said.

According to prosecutors, Faustin broke in through the window of the woman’s Prospect-Lefferts Gardens apartment around 3:00 a.m. early Friday morning, held knife to the victim’s torso and raped her multiple times.

Police were called to the location by the woman’s roommates, sources said, and Faustin was arrested immediately. (The address of the assault has been withheld by law enforcement to protect the identity of the victim.)

Officers also found pot on the suspect, prosecutors said. In addition to the rape and burglary charges, he faces one count of unlawful possession of marijuana.

Faustin is being held on $50,000 bail, court records show. His legal representative from the Legal Aid Society could not be reached for comment.

He is also facing charges in three other unrelated open cases in Brooklyn involving harassment, trespassing or burglary, court records show. One of the cases from October, however, involved a weapon and a temporary order of protection was issued.
