LONG ISLAND CITY — Ease the pain of gift shopping this holiday season with unlimited sips of winter beer and hot toddies.

Organizers of the LIC Flea and Food are bringing a new holiday market to the neighborhood this month where shoppers will be able to get unlimited tastings of festive warm cocktails and winter beers.

"We decided that instead of doing kind of the same old holiday market that everybody does that we would add a little spike, a little sizzle," said Elizabeth Aloni, market director for LIC Flea.

The first ever Spiked Mug Fest and Holiday Bazaar will take place Dec. 17 and 18 at The Factory on 47th Avenue and 31st Street, which will feature the seasonal drinks alongside vendors selling food, handmade crafts, vintage items and other goods.

While access to just the holiday bazaar is free of charge, shoppers who want to imbibe can buy tickets starting at $39 which will get them unlimited drinks for three hours.

Each will be given a tasting-sized cup to sample as many holiday-themed cocktails as they want. Offerings are are expected to include spiked cider, mulled wines, a whiskey-based hot toddy and seasonal winter beers, including Coney Island Brewing Company's "The Plunge."

Several favorite LIC Flea food vendors will also be selling treats to go alongside the booze, including Thai street food from Khao Man Gai NY, pickles, olives and other goodies from Pickle Me Pete and hearty perogies from A Taste of Ukraine.

The event, the only one LIC Flea will host until its regular outdoor market returns in April, will also include music and a photo booth.
