Churches around New York City are already preparing for Christmas Eve and the influx of worshippers attending midnight mass.

If your family makes midnight Mass a part of its Christmas tradition, here some of the best places in the city to worship:

Grace Church

Where: 802 Broadway, NoHo
When: 11 p.m.

Part of the Episcopal Diocese in New York, Grace Church will be holding its annual Holy Eucharist with sermon on Christmas Eve. There will also be a Holy Eucharist with sermon on Christmas Day at 11 a.m.

St. Patrick's Cathedral

Where: Fifth Avenue between 50th and 51st streets, Midtown
When: 11:30 p.m.

If you didn't grab your ticket for midnight Mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral, it's too late now. A note on the cathedral's website says that "As of October 1, 2016, we are no longer taking requests for Midnight Mass," which is the only ticketed Mass during the Christmas season. However the ceremony will also be live-streamed online.

Cathedral of Saint John the Divine

Where: 1047 Amsterdam Ave., Morningside Heights
When: 10:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

The seat of the Episcopalian church in New York City, the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine will celebrate the eucharist with the Bishop of New York. The service will include carols from the Cathedral Choristers under the direction of Cathedral Choral Associate Bryan Zaros. There are a limited number of passes to the general reserved seating area.

Church of Saint Paul the Apostle

Where: 405 W. 59th St., Upper West Side
When: Midnight

One of the oldest churches in the city, the Church of Saint Paul the Apostle is another beautiful place to hear midnight Mass. Services will be preceded by a Christmas concert at 11 p.m.

St. Paul's Chapel, Trinity Church

Where: 209 Broadway, Lower Manhattan
When: 11:45 p.m.

Trinity Church Wall Street's annual candlelight Christmas Eve Mass will feature carols by Trinity Wall Street's choir. Tickets are not required but it's recommended to arrive early to get a seat due to high attendance.

Where: 263 Mulberry St, Little Italy
When: 10:30 p.m.

The basilica will offer Christmas carols starting at 10:30 p.m., followed by a Christmas Eve Mass at 11 p.m.

St. Jean Baptiste

Where: 184 E. 76th St., Upper East Side
When: 11:30 p.m.
