MANHATTAN — A man was arrested after he groped a woman working as a street performer in Times Square and then told her, "I'm the boss," police said.
Jonute Estes, 37, walked up behind the 26-year-old Queens resident in front of 1535 Broadway, between West 45th and 46th streets, around 9:15 p.m. on Nov. 16, and grabbed her butt, police and a complaint filed with the Manhattan District Attorney’s office said.
After grabbing her, he said “eres bonita, y yo soy el jefe" — which translates to “you’re beautiful, and I’m the boss," authorities said.
Estes was arrested and charged with forcible touching, sexual abuse and harassment, the complaint said.
He was released without bail on Nov. 18 and is expected to next appear in court on Jan. 4, the DA’s office said.
An attorney for Estes did not immediately respond to a request for comment Monday.
