LONG ISLAND CITY — Police are looking for a thief who stole a woman's wallet out of her shopping cart as she was buying groceries, according to the NYPD.
The man grabbed the wallet from the cart of the 29-year-old victim while she shopped at the Food Bazaar supermarket on Northern Boulevard near 36th Avenue just before 2 p.m. on Oct. 22, police said.
The suspect then fled the store. He's described as around 40 years old and was wearing a blue sweatsuit and a blue baseball cap, according to police.
