MANHATTAN — There's magic in the air.

The newest movie in J.K. Rowling's "Harry Potter" world, "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them" opened Friday, and New Yorkers bound to recognize some of the movie's locations.

The movie, set in 1926, follows British wizard Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) on his visit to the city with an enchanted suitcase full of magical animals that get loose and threaten the secret wizarding world in the U.S.

Scenes from the movie were filmed on location in New York City at landmarks like the Woolworth Building, at 233 Broadway, according to New York's official tourism board
