NEW YORK CITY — Eleven people were arrested during anti-Donald Trump protests in Manhattan Friday, police said.
In the third straight night of anti–Trump protests, thousands of New Yorkers took to the streets of Manhattan to demonstrate in response to the President-elect's victory over Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, starting at a "Love Rally" in Washington Square Park, before heading to Trump Tower in Midtown, according to reports.
Eleven people were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, an NYPD spokesman said.

Protesters chanted "Our Streets," as they marched up Sixth Avenue, before reaching the building, where police blocked people from approaching by using security pens, the Daily News reported. Signs included "Love Trumps Hate" and "Love Always Wins," according to video from the protests posted to social media.
More protests were planned throughout the weekend.
