FLATIRON — A man was seriously injured after falling off a float at the Veterans Day Parade Friday afternoon, officials said.
The 39-year-old man fell at Fifth Avenue and 27th Street at about 2:11 p.m. He was taken to Bellevue Hospital and was expected to survive.
The victim, whom police described as a nonactive military member, was “alert and conscious” after the fall, an NYPD spokesman said.
