Mayor Bill de Blasio and Police Commissioner James O'Neill were scheduled to attend Tuozzolo's wake in the evening.
Manuel Rosales, 35, fatally shot Tuozzolo in the head at 1575 Noble Ave. on Friday after breaking into his estranged wife's home by Beach Avenue and Merrill Street, officials said.
He shot Sgt. Emmanuel Kwo in the leg as well, wounding him, and several officers then opened fire on Rosales, hitting him multiple times and killing him, sources said.
Tuozzolo had spent 19 years on the force and lived in Suffolk County with his wife and two children.
The Sergeants Benevolent Association launched a fundraising campaign for his kids on Saturday that initially set its goal at raising $100,000 for their education.
However, it has already surpassed that goal, having raised $120,244, and it now aims to raise $200,000.
