NEW YORK CITY — The ex-boyfriend of a missing Queens woman found dead in the driver's seat of her car last week has been charged with the woman's slaying, according to police and reports.

Dayo Corley, 43, of Rochdale Village, was found dead in the driver's seat of her black Chevy Equinox on Oct. 31 near Baisley Pond Park with two holes in the back of her skull, police said. She was last seen two days earlier, about 2 a.m. at a hair salon on Merrick Boulevard.

Officials last week said they were looking for someone close to Corley in connection with her death, and on Friday, police arrested Qwantrell Gilliam, 41, of Jamaica, the NYPD said.

Corley and Gilliam previously dated, according to NBC New York. It was not immediately clear what prompted the alleged incident.

Gilliam was charged with murder, tampering with physical evidence and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.

Information on Gilliam's attorney was not immediately available.
