BROOKLYN — A 17-year-old boy was convicted Wednesday of the murder of another teen, according to the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office.

Malik Streat fatally shot Darnell Wilkerson, 18, outside the former Thomas Jefferson High School in East New York on Jan. 13 at around 2:45 p.m. Streat also wounded a 17-year-old boy in the right arm during the shooting near Livonia Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue. Police said the shooting was part of a gang-related feud.

Wilkerson, a recent graduate of the school, was there to meet his 16-year-old sister, the DA said in a statement.

A jury found Streat guilty of murder in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, according to the DA's Office. Streat faces up to 25 years to life in prison, and will be sentenced on Nov. 21, the office said in a statement.
