PARK SLOPE — The body of a 19-year-old man was found floating in Prospect Park's lake Wednesday afternoon, police said.
Police responded to a 911 call about a man in the lake at 1:20 p.m. The body was discovered on the west side of the lake at West Drive and Well House Drive, near Vanderbilt Playground, police said.
Emergency medical workers pronounced the man dead at the scene, police said. The medical examiner's office had not determined the cause of death as of Wednesday afternoon, an NYPD spokesman said.
Police did not release the man's name because authorities had not yet notified his family, the NYPD said.
