NEW YORK CITY — A model from Mexico City who was missing from her Brooklyn home for a week was reunited with her family on Sunday after being checked into a hospital, police said.

Geraldine Mendez-Victoria, 20, was last seen leaving a Bushwick loft at 345 Eldert St. around 2 a.m. Oct. 16, but never returned to her Flatbush apartment, police said.

She was found checked into Bellevue Hospital uninjured, and has been reunited with her family, police said Sunday.

It was not immediately clear how she ended up in the hospital.

Mendez-Victoria's family, which still lives in Mexico, worked with the Mexican consulate in New York to try and locate the woman. Her father flew to New York last week in an effort to find his daughter, according to the Facebook posts by the family.

Her brother on Sunday confirmed the girl's safety.
