THE BRONX — A 92-year-old woman was fatally struck by a dump truck as she crossed a Parkchester intersection a block from her home Tuesday morning, police said.
Marie Guido was crossing east on Castle Hill Avenue when she was struck by a dump truck turning off of Starling Avenue onto Castle Hill about 8:40 a.m., the NYPD said.
She was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital with head trauma but could not be saved, police said.
The 24-year-old dump truck driver remained on scene and was not charged, the NYPD said. The investigation is ongoing.
