BROOKLYN HEIGHTS — Smile for the camera!

A selfie-happy suspect accidentally uploaded a photo of himself using a phone stolen from Brooklyn Bridge Park last month, police said.

A thief snatched the bag around 6:40 p.m. on Sept. 23 after the 21-year-old victim left it on the ground while he was playing soccer at Pier 5, police said.

When the victim was done playing, he noticed his bag — containing his Sony Experia cellphone, a Chase credit card and other personal items — had disappeared, police said.

Later, the victim found a photo of a man had been uploaded to his cloud-based storage system, police said.

Investigators are now looking for the thief pictured in the selfie.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
