A pooch stolen from its home in Philadelphia was reunited more than two years later with help from the NYPD, officials said.

An officer from the 110th Precinct was responding to a car accident over the weekend when an unidentified man brought over Ling Ling, a grey and white pup, according to the NYPD. He told the officer he'd found the dog.

Ling Ling was then brought to a nearby vet, who searched her for a microchip and found her owner information, police said.

It turned out the dog was stolen from the front yard of its home in Philadelphia more than two years ago.

Ling Ling's owner drove up from Pennsylvania as soon as she was contacted to reunite with the canine, according to the NYPD.
