You can now get 25 percent off tickets to some events at the Barclays Center with your IDNYC cards.

The identification card issued by the city will get you discounts on tickets for select events at the Brooklyn arena — such as Brooklyn Nets and New York Islanders games — as of this fall.

Other new benefits include a 10 percent discount on items purchased at Modell's Sporting Goods stores in the five boroughs and a complimentary first-year membership to New York Road Runners, which offers savings on race entry fees.

Cardholders can already buy discounted Mets, Yankees and New York Liberty tickets, as well as claim marked-down memberships to YMCA centers and the CitiBike program.

IDNYC, an initiative the mayor's office launched last year, is primarily meant to be a form of identification for city residents over 14, regardless of their immigration status.

New Yorkers can use the photo IDs to open bank accounts at several financial institutions, check out library books at the New York, Brooklyn and Queens Public Library systems, and redeem free one-year memberships to 40 cultural institutions.

You can apply for an IDNYC by making an appointment at one of the enrollment centers found on this map. Set up your appointment by calling 311 or by signing up online.

You need to bring proof of your identity and residency, with acceptable documents including passports, driver's licenses, lease agreements and bills.
