MORRIS PARK — Bronxites looking to get their free municipal identification cards will soon be able to do so at Jacobi Hospital.

A pop-up IDNYC enrollment center will open at the hospital on Oct. 17, and stay open until Nov. 4, according to the city.

It will be open Mondays through Fridays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. except for the last day, when the site will close at noon.

Appointments are preferred, and ID cards will not be guaranteed for people who walk in. Applicants can make their appointments by calling 311 or going to www.nyc.gov/idnyc.

All residents of the city who are 14 or older are eligible for the ID cards, regardless of their immigration status.

Applicants must have proof of identity and residency to get a card, with acceptable documents including passports, driver's licenses, bills and pay stubs.

Residents who have the ID cards are eligible for benefits at cultural institutions throughout New York, including the Bronx Zoo, Bronx County Historical Society and New York Botanical Garden.

Other places to get a municipal ID in The Bronx include The Bronx Business Center at 3030 Third Ave. on the second floor, The Bronx Library Center at 310 E. Kingsbridge Rd. and Lincoln Hospital at 234 E. 149th St. on the first floor.
