An automated fortune telling booth with Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump's face was spotted briefly in front of the News Corp building at 1211 Sixth Ave., between West 47th and 48th streets, around 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
The booth, similar to the one seen in the 1988 movie "Big", usually features a fortune telling Zoltar statue, but someone replaced this one with a plastic "All-Seeing" Trump that invited visitors to look into his crystal ball and "see America's future."
According to a security guard who works outside the building but would not give his name, the booth attracted groups of curious watchers for about 15 minutes before being loaded away in a van.
"I saw a lot of people gathered around the booth," he said.
As of 4 p.m. Tuesday, no one had come forward to claim responsibility for the statue.
News Corp, which is owned by conservative media mogul and Trump support Rupert Murdoch, was one of several stops along the booth's route, The Hill reported. It was also spotted earlier Wednesday on a street corner in Greenpoint, Gothamist reported.
In August, a naked Trump statue appeared in Union Square Park, attracted a large crowd, and went viral on social media before being removed by the Parks Department.
