15-Year-Old Mother and Her Infant Son Missing, NYPD Says

CROWN HEIGHTS — A teenage girl and her 2-month-old son are missing from supportive housing in Crown Heights, police said.

Shantay Howington, 15, and her infant son, Demontae, have not been seen since 3:15 a.m. on Wednesday, according to the NYPD. They were last seen at a Dean Street social services residence between Bedford and Nostrand avenues, police said.

When they were last seen, Howington was wearing green pants, a multi-colored shirt, black jacket and black sneakers. Demontae was dressed in a grey onesie.

Police released a photo of Howington on Thursday night and they are seeking the public’s assistance to locate the pair. Howington is 5-foot-4 and approximately 130 pounds.
