With the days getting shorter, radiators kicking on, and New York City's dogs donning sweaters, we're craving baked goods that taste of fall.
Here's what New York City's bakeries are serving to satisfy our sweet tooth at this time of year:
Pumpkin pie, naturally
You can grab a slice of the classic Thanksgiving dessert at Pasticceria Rocco, at 243 Bleecker St. in the West Village.
Or you opt for a Japanese adaption at Patisserie Tomoko, at 568 Union Ave. in Williamsburg.

Pumpkin pecan sticky buns
We'd greedily gobble up these sticky buns at Amy's Bread at 672 Ninth Ave. in Midtown without any cream cheese frosting.

Um, yes, we'd take the Staten Island Ferry in a heartbeat for these cookie-cake hybrids baked by the Cookie Jar at 1226 Forest Ave. in Port Richmond.
If you believe in a strict separation of vegetable and dessert, there are pies sans pumpkin

This month's Cronut flavor at Dominique Ansel Bakery at 189 Spring St. in SoHo is caramelized banana and dulce de leche.
At pastry chef Christina Tosi's Milk Bar in Williamsburg, the candy bar pie —with toffee, nougat and a chocolate cookie crust — is back through the end of October.
And Conti's Pastry Shoppe, at 786 Morris Park Ave. in the Van Nest neighborhood of The Bronx, is serving up some new chocolate chip cookie cheesecake bites.
