CORONA — A man and his wife were attacked after leaving a restaurant in Corona — as five men stabbed him the back and attacked his wife for $160, police said.

The couple were walking near 98th Street and 37th Avenue at around 3:30 a.m. on Sept. 24 when they were approached by a group of five men, according to police.

They stabbed the 30-year-old man in the back and took the cash from his 31-year-old wife. They then fled in an unknown direction, police said.

The victim was treated at Elmhurst Hospital and later released, police said.

Surveillance video captured the group of men, who were all between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-10, wearing hats, jeans and T-shirts.

Anyone with information about this attack can call NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
