CORONA — The borough's night market, which showcases local food vendors serving up their global cuisine, will return next week with more options and events.

The Queens International Night Market reopens behind the New York Hall of Science at 6 p.m. on Oct. 8, according to organizers. It's been on hold since August for the US Open.

The fest features food from nearly 60 countries, all priced at around $5 per item, founder John Wang said. For the first time, some vendors will be allowed to raise their prices to $6, he added, but the goal has always been affordability.

This fall, the market secured a sponsor in New York-Presbyterian/Queens, which allows him to keep prices low for vendors and guests.

"I think we’ve shown that affordability is still the greatest equalizer, as evidenced by the number and sheer diversity of our visitors — a real cross-section of NYC," he said.

Thousands visit the weekly night market, which also has a beer and wine garden and live music and performances. There are also art and homemade crafts for sale.

The Queens Night Market will run every Saturday through Oct. 29, which will be Halloween-themed and feature a costume contest.

The market is still accepting new vendors, who can apply through this link.
