SOUTH BRONX — A man accused of fatally pushing a 61-year-old father in front of a D Train pleaded guilty to manslaughter on Tuesday and is facing up to 18 years behind bars, according to the Bronx District Attorney's Office.

Kevin Darden was charged with shoving Wai Kuen Kwok in front of a Manhattan-bound D Train at the 167th Street station in The Bronx around 8:45 a.m. on Nov. 16, 2014. He was arrested near his mother's house two days later.

He has an extensive criminal history that includes a 2011 arrest in Longview, Texas, for trying to burn his brother's house down and a Nov. 9, 2014 arrest for pickpocketing near Times Square, officials said.

Darden was released from jail on Nov. 14, 2014, just two days before Kwok was pushed in front of the train, records show.

He is scheduled to be sentenced on Oct. 25 and is expected to receive 18 years behind bars and five years of post-release supervision, according to the Bronx DA's Office.
