CRIME BLOTTER: Man Arrested For Swiping Yoga Mats, Boxing Gloves From Gym

CARROLL GARDENS — A man was arrested for stealing boxing gloves, yoga mats and other valuables from a Carroll Gardens gym, police said.

The 52-year-old man swiped a pair of boxing gloves, five yoga mats, 20 sets of headphones, two exercise balls and a laundry bag from Body Elite at Court and Union streets Aug. 23, according to a police report.

The man was arrested on Sept. 12 in Cobble Hill and charged with burglary, criminal possession of stolen property and criminal trespass, police said.

Other notable crimes in the 76th Precinct, according to police, include:

► A $130 bottle of perfume called "Scentsational" was stolen from the stoop of a Huntington Street building Sept. 8.

► A man was arrested for stealing $15.77 worth of products, including bottles of hair gel, from CVS at 395 Court St. on Sept. 19 at about 4:10 p.m.
