UNION SQUARE — Hundreds of animals in need of a permanent home will be gathered in Union Square this weekend.
The annual Adoptapalooza hosted by the Mayor’s Alliance for NYC’s Animals returns to Union Square's North Plaza on Sunday with more than 300 dogs, cats and bunnies up for adoption.
The event will also feature a dog trainer, free dog licensing from the Department of Health for the first 50 attendees, and low-cost, $15 microchips for pets, according to a press release.
The pets will arrive from dozens of shelters around the city, and will be waiting to meet their special humans from noon to 5 p.m.
